Social media can be good for society in some aspects, but not in others.
It can be bad for society in a way that models, that are photoshopped, end up setting the standard for what girls think they should look like. When they can't achieve the image they want, their self esteem lowers. It's also bad because those who post images on the internet might be bullied for what they believe or think. Social medias allow for comments or replies on almost everything, allowing room for bullying comments. Also, like Facebook, social medias should have a minimum age. Some younger kids may leave a mean comment, but they might not realize that it's mean or offensive to the other kids.
Social media can be good for society in a way that people can express themselves. If they do not want to conform to society, they can show this by posting on social media. People can also show their personalities on social networks by what they post. It can also be a good thing because if someone is getting bullied, someone else may be able to stand up for the person. Not everyone can stand up for themselves when they are getting bullied. Therefore, social media can good and/or bad for society.
